What does LAES PTA do?
LAES PTA supports the students, staff, and families of LAES. We provide a variety of community events, offer enrichment activities for students, raise funds to support our school and students, and help our teachers. 

Do I need to attend PTA meetings if I am a member of LAES PTA?
No. Attendance at meetings is not required. 

How can I support LAES PTA?
You can support LAES PTA by becoming a member, which only costs $10, making a donation at any point, participating in fundraising events, and volunteering your time. 

Do I need to volunteer if I am a member of LAES PTA?
Volunteering is not required to be a member of LAES PTA, however volunteering is a great way to get to help out and learn more about our LAES community. 

How can I volunteer with LAES PTA?
There are lots of ways to volunteer, including: 

• Community Events – volunteer signups will be posted here on PTBoard before events
• Committee Position – check the "Board and Committee Chairs" tab on PTBoard to see what opportunities are available

How does LAES PTA raise money?
LAES PTA raises money through a variety of ways, including:

• Membership fees
• Direct donations
• Dining for Dollars
• Dolphin Dash
• After-school programs
• Box Tops
• Grocery store rewards programs
• Profits from Community Events

What does LAES PTA do with the money it raises?
LAES PTA gives the money back to the school in a number of ways, including:

• Paying for buses for field trips
• Giving teachers grants
• Hosting events to demonstrate appreciation to teachers
• Gifting money to the administration
• Paying for community events

Is my LAES PTA donation tax deductible?
Yes. All donations are 100% tax deductible.
